“I like the art bus because you can express your feelings in art and be who you are.” ~Avry

The Siskiyou Arts Bus Project is a major arts and education component of the Siskiyou Arts Council. The program involves a mobile art studio (bus) and a diverse offering of programs, held both on and off the bus. The bus and related programs are county-wide projects offering exploratory art for youth from preschool through high school age who may otherwise have little or no exposure to the arts.

Donations of any amount help support the Siskiyou Arts Bus and related programs: Juvenile Justice (art, music, writing, and dance for incarcerated youth, the Toddler Music & Movement Program Art Club at Mt. Shasta Library,  and more.
Growing from the unique needs of Siskiyou County’s diverse, rural landscape and a lack of art experiences available to our children, The Arts Bus Project can attribute its success to community support through its volunteers, fund-raising events and foundation grants. The Siskiyou Arts Bus Project strives to teach and model creative self-expression, respect, creative thinking, tolerance, and diversity – all with a goal of also fostering healthy self-esteem for our community’s children.
