The Arts Bus Project Mission Statement
The Siskiyou Arts Bus Project provides art experiences and creative opportunities, taught by helpful and skilled instructors, for many Siskiyou County children who may otherwise have little or no exposure to the arts. The arts teach children to think openly, to become people who question rather than respond, and who know that there is more than one solution to a problem. The Siskiyou Arts Bus and programs teach self-expression, creative thinking, dexterity, diversity and help build self-esteem. The Siskiyou Arts Bus and related programs are sponsored by the Siskiyou Arts Council.
Through the expression of art, this program offers:
The Arts Bus Programs
- Art Club at Mt. Shasta Library (On the bus)
- Movement & Music (Mt. Shasta) (Off of the bus, offered quarterly)
- Juvenile Justice Art (Yreka) (Off of the bus)
Public events and festivals are a favorite venue for children of all ages to visit the Siskiyou Arts Bus. Please Contact us with the date and time of your event for availability information, or for more more information on arts programs partnerships.
