Local Native American Drum Maker Ann Keller will visit the arts bus on January 26th from 2:45 to 5pm.

Please let your children be apart of the ceremonial group Elk hide drum making process in this free special workshop.

Parents welcome! Please try to stay for the entire class. The bus is parked on the east side of the Mount Shasta Branch Library.

Movement & Music For Toddlers Class begins later this month!

Fridays  starting in January 20th-Five, once a week consecutive sessions January 20th thru February 17th . Fun parent participation class geared for ages babies to 3½-years. Learn about singing, movement & dance as Teacher Claudia shares her love of rhythm & music. Snacks provided. $10/class; some scholarships avail. Please call in advance. 10:30am. Classes held at: Mt. FREE art Funshops aboard the Siskiyou Arts Bus

Funshops are especially geared for kids (and parents). All ages are welcome! Classes are FREE and sponsored by the Siskiyou Arts Council with help from North State Parent magazine.

  • August 20th; 10 a.m. until noon; Mosaic Art & Print Making.
  • August 27th; 10 a.m. until noon; Oil Lamp Making & Cloth Flag Making.
  • Sept. 17; 10 a.m. until noon; Ceramics (including wheel work).
  • Sept.  24th; 10 a.m. until noon; Paper People & Collage Made Fun.
The bus location is at Shasta Base Camp, 308 S. Mt. Shasta Blvd in beautiful Mount Shasta.

  • Aug. 6    Kids Block Party in downtown Yreka on Broadway, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join us for more than 3 blocks of free activities for children.
  • Sept. 10  Scott Valley Swap Meet behind Premier West Bank 8 a.m. to noon.

 

Summer Saturdays on August 13, 20 and 27: FREE art for children ages 3 and up in Mt. Shasta. The bus will be parked parked at Shasta Base Camp, 308 South Mt. Shasta Blvd. across from Berryvale Grocery. 10 a.m. to noon. Have fun with printing making, painting, collage and more!

* During some events, the actual bus will not be there but the arts bus staff will be there with plenty of arts & crafts fun!

Mask Making: Ages 8-12, July 12-14. Kids create their own unique  masks from plaster and clay and embellish them with paint, feathers, jewels and other cool stuff. Take home an expressive and unique art piece.

Enroll today in this parent/child participation class taught by Claudia Carpenter and guest musicians. Enjoy music, dance, rhythm, percussion, singing and more. For toddlers up to age 4. Beginning Wednesday, May 18th at 10 a.m. Classes held on June 1, 8, 15 and 29 at the  Mt. Shasta Martial Arts Studio, 612-A Mt. Shasta Blvd., Mt. Shasta.
